Each year on the 31st December, Melbourne blasts around 7.5 tonnes of Fireworks for the Melbourne NYE fireworks celebrations. The Melbourne New Year fireworks are a huge part of the NYE city celebrations. The Firworks colour and spectacle entertain families and all walks of people who are out and about in the City to celebrate and Welcome the New Year.
For fireworks displays, Melbourne is spoilt. The City’s fabulous NYE fireworks fare has two display times. That’s Two Fireworks shows! The first is the traditional families and children’s NYE fireworks display at 9pm. That is followed by the festive celebration NYE fireworks to welcome in the new year at midnight.
New Year’s Eve in Melbourne is a night of awe and fun. Many of the city parks are designated family areas and these have associated free entertainment to coincide with NYE celebrations.
